Too Faced Melted Lipstick Review

Hey guys, I know it's been forever! However, I've finally managed to review the Too Faced Melted lipsticks and a couple of the Melted Metal lipsticks. I feel like I'm the last one to talk about them.. I have had them for a while and have been trying them out for months now, but I never got round to writing a blogpost on them. So, here we go!

So I managed to get my hands on these lovely colours. The first four are from the usual 'melted' line and the last two lipsticks are from the 'melted metal' range. The shades of the lipsticks from the image above are (from left to right); Peony, Ruby, Nude, Berry, Metallic Peony and Metallic Debutante.

First of all, I took a moment to appreciate the beautiful packaging of these cute lipsticks. They are so easy to use as they are in a squeezy tube and  have a soft applicator to apply the lipstick with. The way to use the lipstick is by squeezing the tube a tiny bit and some product is released onto the tip of the applicator, which you can then apply onto your lips as you would with a normal lipstick. The only negative thing I find about this method is that it isn't very hygienic at all. Of course it is fine to use for your own lips, but if you are a makeup artist you can't clean the applicator for use on others as you would with a normal lipstick by dipping it into alcohol. Although, I find it easy to apply these lipsticks onto my clients by squeezing some product out and using a lip brush.

Below is a picture of the swatches of each shade (without flash), in the same order as the image above.

I've also inserted a picture of the swatches with flash, down below.

My favourite colours out of the normal melted range are definitely 'nude' and 'berry', nude is obviously the perfect everyday colour any girl can wear and I usually love my nude lipsticks. I feel as if this shade doesn't wash me out, which I usually find most nude lipsticks do. So, finding the perfect nude colour for my skin tone is always a mission! 'Berry' is a BEAUTIFUL dark, plum shade. I absolutely adore this colour to make the lips stand out, especially with a neutral eye. Considering it is now fall/autumn, I am most certainly going to abuse this lipstick. I honestly find that dark, plummy shades always complement any skin tone and liven up the whole look.

Peony is a nice bubblegum pink shade which I find a bit too bright for my skin tone, which is why I don't reach out for it often. Ruby is also a nice bright shade, your classic red lipstick which makes your lips look like a bold statement. The main difference between the normal melted range and the melted metals is that the metals have more of a shimmer in the formula, whereas the normal melted lipsticks are of a matte to satin finish. I am a big fan on the normal melted range, however, I prefer the metallic peony to the regular peony because it isn't as bright and looks more natural. Metallic Debutante is also a lovely shade, a very light pink to coral colour which brightens up my lips.

Also, I just want to quickly mention that I actually like the formula of these lipsticks because they feel so moisturising on the lips. I've tried many different liquid lipsticks and some feel sticky or tingly on the lips, fortunately the Too Faced ones feel perfect. Finally, these lipsticks smell bomb! I know a lot of us girls love the smell of our MAC lipsticks, but these Too Faced ones smell so sweet and who wouldn't want amazing smelling lips?!

That's all for this review my loves, thank you so much for reading it. I hope you enjoyed it!

Gerard Cosmetics Review

Hello lovelies! I'm feeling for a Gerard Cosmetics review today. I'm sure most of you would have heard of this brand by now because it is all over instagram! I first discovered Gerard Cosmetics when my friend mentioned it to me during a beauty gossip and thought I would check it out. After hearing such good reviews about the quality of the products, I had to get my hands on some of the goodies! I believe I had purchased some lipsticks and lipglosses with a 35% coupon code. Here are a few pictures of swatches and what I think of the products!!

So first of all I have 6 lipgloss swatches for you guys. I can not stress enough how beautiful these lipglosses are! Usually I am not a lipgloss girl at all, I just find lipgloss to be so sticky and sheer, that I could do without lipgloss in my life. HOWEVER, Gerard Cosmetics have just redefined the word lipgloss! The formula of their lipglosses is unbelievable, they aren't sticky at all! It leaves your lips feeling fresh, for real girl! And the pigmentation of these lipglosses are just out of this world. These lipglosses can totally be worn alone, without lipstick or lip liner underneath. They are so rich in colour, I literally only swiped each lipgloss once in the picture. The packaging is to DIE for! Not only does the lipgloss come with a mirror, but it also lights up when you pull the applicator out, how cool is that?! How much more beautiful could a lipgloss look?!
The colours from left to right are: Cocoa Bean, Rose Hill, Nude, Coral Glaze, Plum Crazy and Butter Cream.
Cocoa Bean is such a beautiful dark brown colour which I think can complement any skin tone and is perfect for the Autumn weather (one of my favourites.) Rose Hill is a bright darker pink shade, for those of you who are brave out there this is your colour girl! If you like wearing bright lips, this would be perfect to wear in the spring and summer. Personally this isn't my colour. The third swatch is Nude, who doesn't love a nude?! This is a beautiful peachy nude, definitely for the paler and olive-toned skin tones. Next is Coral Glaze, a bright orangey coral colour perfect for the sun and I think it is perfect for all skin tones! The fifth colour is Plum Crazy. OMG I love this shade! It's such a pretty dark purple vampy colour. I would recommend this for everyone, you will not regret purchasing Plum Crazy. And finally the last shade is Butter Cream. Honestly, when I first saw this colour I thought it would be the perfect light pink for me, but I was disappointed with it. I do think it is a pretty colour, but it doesn't work for me because it seems to wash me out (I have fair Asian skin tone.)

Finally, I purchased 4 lipsticks! My first impression of these lipsticks was WOW. Let's take a minute to appreciate the beautiful gold bullet packaging (obviously reminds us all of MAC lipsticks.) The formula for these lipsticks is matte but creamy.
From left to right the shades are: Fire Engine, Buttercup, 1995 and Cherry Cordial.
So Fire Engine looks like a bright red, eye popping colour, even on the lips it looks like your true red, however I apologise for the swatch because it looks more pinkier. This is near enough a dupe for MAC Ruby Woo. Out of the 4, I would say Buttercup is the most creamiest lipstick. It is such a lovely light pink nude colour, however for me like the Butter Cream lipgloss it washes me out.. I wouldn't say this lipstick is for me. Oh wow 1995, this is by far my favourite out of the lot! It is such a beautiful brown nude colour and this is definitely the lipstick for every single girl out there! I must admit, it looks different on each person because it depends on your natural lip colour, but trust me you can't go wrong with this one! Finally, I decided I wanted a vampy lipstick so I opted for Cherry Cordial. This is such a rich dark red/purple shade, you could go for a full glam makeup look and this lipstick would be the icing on the cake! The only downside to this one is that when you remove it, it does stain your lips a cherry pink colour :( but it is worth it!

That is all for my Gerard Cosmetics review, I hope you beauties enjoyed it!
